Former Amazon chief executive Jeff Bezos has loudly questioned his nearly 4 million followers that Tesla's relationship with Chinese suppliers could empower the country on Twitter after a social media platform accepted Tesla CEO's promise to buy Elon Musk.

On Monday, Twitter announced that it had accepted Musk's $ 44 billion purchase offer after initially opposing Tesla's CEO proposal. The deal is expected to close this year, the media said, awaiting a response from shareholders and other regulatory details.

New York Times correspondent Mike Forsyth tweeted that the second largest car company's marketplace for 2021 was in China, and that Chinese battery makers are the largest suppliers of Tesla cars. Tesla's gigafactory in Shanghai stands at the heart of the company's supply chain, which is the world's most productive crop, according to Observer.

Forsyth also asked if China would gain power over Twitter through the deal, a question Jeff Bezos - Musk's longtime rival - echoed in his tweet.

"An interesting question," Bezos wrote in a tweet Tuesday. "Has the Chinese government recently gained power in the city square?"

Since June 2009, Twitter has been banned in China as part of the country's "Great Firewall," which has also blocked other major social media platforms such as Facebook.

It is not the first time Bezos has weighed heavily on Musk's purchase on Twitter. Earlier this month, he tweeted Geekwire's May 2020 report on a homeless family shelter connected to the Amazon headquarters in Seattle and suggested that at least part of Twitter headquarters be converted into a homeless shelter. In response, Musk wrote on Twitter that it was "a good idea." Bezos' tweet has been deleted.

In December, Musk played a significant role in Bezos when he tweeted a silver medal emoji from the founder of Amazon. Earlier Musk told  he would send Bezos - the richest man in the world - a silver medal when he came out on top in a multi-billion dollar media list.

Musk is currently the richest man in the world with an estimated $ 219 billion. He is followed by Bezos, who is estimated to be worth $ 171 billion.
